This manufacturing process makes the Jajim very flat. This manufacturing process is also a centuries-old nomadic tradition. Nomads used the finished woven rugs not only as floor decorations, but also as wall decorations or as material for making tents. Special processing methods and natural, plant-derived dyes give kilims a unique look.
